When I was playing in the backyard one day, I found something. It was a heart-shaped tiny thing and pink in color. It was hard. “What is it?” I asked myself.
I put it in my pocket then said, “I will show it to mommy.” And I found mommy was busy in the kitchen.
“Mommy, may I ask something?” I asked her.
“What is that, Sweetheart?” replied mommy.
I took out something from my pocket. “What is it, Mommy?”
Mommy took a look at it. “Hm… Maybe it’s kind of seed.”
“Seed?” I repeated.
“You might like to plant it,” said mommy.
“Oh, wow! Thanks, Mommy.” I hugged and kissed her then ran out to the backyard again.
I dug a hole in the soil using my little spade. I put the seed into the hole and buried it. Then I had my little pink water can to pour water on it.
“Oh, my teeny seed, please grow bigger and be a beautiful flower,” I wished. I took a great care of it. I watered it every day. I loved it.
A week later, its sprout popped out. The leaves were teeny-weeny and green. I was too happy. I wanted the sprout grew faster to a big flower. So that, I poured much water on it, much and much. And I hoped, “I’d like to see you big as quickest as can be, tiny sprout.”
But a day after, I saw my sprout was withering. I was too sad. “Oh, my! What happened to you? You become ugly!” cried I.
I ran to my mommy and told her what had happened to my plant. She took a look at it. Then smiled and said, ”Oh, dear! It seemed you gave it too much water.”
“But I want it to grow quickly,” I replied innocently.
“You’re mistaken, Sweetheart. Don’t give it too much water or too little and wait patiently. You get it?”
I nodded, I understood. I hugged and kissed my mommy. “Thank you, Mommy.”
“You’re welcome, Sweetheart.” She patted me.
I knelt beside my plant, I said, “I’m so sorry. I will wait you big patiently.”
This time, I watered my sprout not too much or too little. And there was a pink little bud appeared. I was too amazed, staring at the bud all day long, wondering how it would look like when it bloomed. This made me forgetting to eat lunch, to take a nap, to help my mommy. I forgot everything, just staring at the pink bud.
I didn’t notice that mommy came nearby until she said, “Oh, dear! Cute flower bud. I think it will become a beautiful flower someday.”
“That’s why I keep watching it, Mommy,” I replied.
Mommy laughed, “You don’t need to watch it, Sweetheart. Because it will take few days to bloom. Why don’t you get into the house and have your meal, Sweetheart.”
“Okay, Mommy.” I did as my mommy suggested.
As mommy ever said, a few days later, the bud bloomed. Well, It’s a very strange flower I’d ever seen. It was a big heart-shaped pink flower. I was too amazed. I showed it to my mommy. Mommy also never saw this kind of flower.
“Oh, dear! A beautiful strange flower. You’ve showed me your best, Sweetheart.” Mommy hugged and kissed me.
I still watered my flower not too much or too little every day. Days after, the heart-shaped flower became bigger and bigger. There was also a tiny pink bud near it. Next time, I would like to show it to my friends at school. I wondered if they’d never seen it before.
