Wish All Beings Will Be In Happiness.....
Well, it's kinda very easy for us that we can wish any animals won't be hurt if we heard the sentence above.
Some of us will be a vegan that means they don't want to hurt them.
That's really good thought.
We can show compassion for animals which are lovely and harmless, how about mosquitoes?????
Gee... this insect is really awfull, like vampire sucking our blood and buzzing around when we're sleeping. Some of us may use insect spray to kill them.
But isn't mosquito part of beings that we ever wish not to be hurt?
In Buddhist, animals mean all animals, harmless or harmfull, that we should show the compassion towards them.
Once I kill or hurt one of them, that means I've already broken my first determination of PANCASILA (five morals): "Panatipata Veramani Sikkhapadam Samadiyami (I determine not to kill or harm)"
One night, it was hot, really I couldn't sleep very well. I just turned myself around the bed. And suddenly, came Mrs Mosquito who trapped in my room. Maybe after sucking my blood that I didn't realize, she came flying around my ears, then buzzing, buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....................
I swapped my hand around my ear to get rid the buzzing thingy, and Mrs Mosquito was very stubborn, she still buzz..... buzz.... buzz.....
Ow!! Really disturbing!!!!!! I turned on the light and tried to find out Mrs Mosquito who was hiding anywhere else. For minutes, I had no clues to find her and turned off the light, off to bed again.
Not more than a minute when I thought that I could sleep well, Mrs Mosquito showed up! She was buzzing again......... and again... and again......
Oh, No!! She really made me mad!!!!! GRRRRRRR...... but....
I realized that I shouldn't kill her, that's her nature thing, besides, everyweek I go to Buddhist Temple and repeat the PANCASILA, especially the first line of PANCASILA; not to kill.
Then I said to her, actually to myself, "I won't kill you. I won't hurt you. I know that you actually want to go out of my small bedroom as soon as possible to feel the fresh air. Could you hide somewhere else now and don't disturb my sleep? I promise that in the morning I will set you free from my room, just let me sleep tonight."
This happened, after all I didn't here any disturbing sound.
And when morning I opened the door widely, and here Mrs Mosquite (really fat) showed herself and flew away.
That's nice... That night I could passed "not to kill" determination, sigh....
Hopefully another day, if same thing happens, I will pass it also.
It's really a small good deed that really hard to do.
